Step 5 - Lead
Now that you have a practical understanding and application of Our Vision, Beliefs and Membership requirements, it is expected that you will play an integral role in the fulfillment of God's mandate to Bahamas Harvest Church. You are unique. What you bring to the table cannot be duplicated or easily manufactured. We therefore challenge you to Lead through Serving.
Life at the Harvest for you has really only just begun. Through your service, you will assist in manifesting God's purpose for us on the earth, as well as the materialization and actualization of your own purpose. Through helping others, you help yourself.
There are many ways to lead at the Harvest. Prayerfully consider how you may best serve and make a commitment. You may consider leading a Small Group, for example.
Small groups at the Harvest are gatherings of at least three people that provide a great opportunity to develop a network of friends, share personal concerns, joys and interests, and to use your gifts and talents to glorify God. The aim of small groups is to develop purposeful relationships through which fellowship, discipleship and evangelism take place.
All Small Groups Are Not The Same
Different groups work for different people. Individuals form groups around particular interests, choosing subjects that appeal them and others in our congregation. Some small groups may include worship, Bible study, prayer and fellowship. Others may form around common interests such as athletics, hobbies, exercise, or many other possibilities. The groups offered reflect the people at Bahamas Harvest Church and continue to change and develop with the interests and needs of the people.
