Our Vision

The vision of Bahamas Harvest is found in Matthew 9:37-38: "The HARVEST truly is plenteous, but the LABORERS are few; pray ye therefore the Lord of the HARVEST, that He will send forth LABORERS into His HARVEST."

Our vision can be summed up in one statement:"To Reap the End-time Harvest in The Bahamas and Beyond."

The two foundational pillars of the Vision are PRAYER and LABOR.  A Laborer's responsibility is to be employed in the service of the Lord. Persons whom God has set in Bahamas Harvest Church have been excellent volunteers, sacrificially investing their time, talent and treasure in the fulfillment of the church's vision. By God's grace and appointment, this is who we are! This is what we do!

Our Pastors

Pastor Mario, a gifted psalmist, is known for his outstanding leadership and practical preaching.

Pastor Erika shares his passion for the ministry as she realizes her call and purpose to also lead Bahamas Harvest Church.  She presently serves as the church's Chief Operations Officer.

They are the proud parents of three children: Alec, Rachelle & Madison.

 Our Journey

In 1992, Pastor Mario felt the call to attend World Harvest Bible College, Columbus, Ohio. During his time at the college, he acknowledged the call of God upon his life to become a pastor.

On Sunday, July 16th, 1995, Pastor Rod Parsley, their pastor and spiritual father, publicly released and commissioned Pastors Mario & Erika to fulfill the vision God gave them for the Bahamas. He commissioned them with these prophetic words, which are now engrafted in their lives and destiny:

· Integrity will be the Key

· Unction will be the Demonstration

· Glory will be the Reward

· Harvest will be the Increase

Bahamas Harvest Church was birthed on Sunday, November 19th, 1995, with a guaranteed Laborship of Pastor Moxey, his wife Erika and their two children, Alec and Rachelle.

Services for Bahamas Harvest Church were first held in a rented storefront at the Sea Grapes Shopping Plaza. On April 4th, 2000, a groundbreaking ceremony was held for the construction of the new church family facility located on Blueberry Hill Road, Prince Charles.

In February 2002, we completed our 9,600 square feet family worship facility and in 2007, the same facility was expanded to 15,000 square feet.

Our Core Values

At Bahamas Harvest Church, we believe that core values determine ministry performance and expectation. There are four core values that guide us at The Harvest.

Core Value #1:         Servanthood

People don’t care how much you know until they know how much you   care

Core Value #2:         Excellence

                                        Do whatever it takes

Core Value #3:         Integrity

To thine own self be true

Core Value #4:         Community

Christianity is not a solitary affair but a community event

What We Believe:

In essential beliefs - we have unity.
“There is one Body and one Spirit …one Lord, one faith, one baptism, and one God and father of all…”Eph. 4:4-6 (NKJV)
In non-essential beliefs - we have liberty.

“Accept him whose faith is weak, without passing judgment on disputable matters.. who are you to judge someone else’s servant?  To his own master he stands or falls… So then each of us will give an account of himself to God.. So whatever you believe about these things keep between yourself and God.” Roman 14:1,4, 12, 22 (NIV).

In all our beliefs - we show charity.
“If I had the gift of prophecy and knew all about what is going to happen in the future, knew everything about everything, but didn’t love others, what good would it do?  Even if I had the gift of faith so that I could speak to a mountain and make it move, I would still be worth nothing at all without love.” 1 Cor. 13:2 (TLB)

The Essentials We Believe:

About God.

God is the Creator and Ruler of the universe.  He has eternally existed in three personalities:  the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.  These three are co-equal and are one God.

Genesis 1:1, 26,27, 3:22; Psalm 90:2; Matthew 28:19; 1 Peter 1:2; 2 Corinthians 13:14

About Jesus Christ.

Jesus Christ is the Son of God.  He is co-equal with the Father.  Jesus lived a sinless human life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people by dying on a cross.  He arose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death.  He ascended to Heaven’s glory and return again someday to earth to reign as Kings of Kings, and Lords of Lords.  His redemptive work on the cross provides healing of the human body in answer to believing prayer.

Matthew 1:22, 23; Isaiah 9:6; John 1:1-5; 14:10-30; Hebrews 4:14, 15; 1 Corinthians 15:3,4; Roman 1:3,4; Acts 1:9-11; 1 Timothy 6:14,15; Titus 2:13; Isaiah 53:4-5; 1 Peter 2:24; James 5:14-15; Matthew 8:17

About The Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit is co-equal with the Father and the Son of God.  He is present in the world to make men aware of their need for Jesus Christ.  He also lives in every Christian from the moment of salvation.  He provides the Christian with power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right.  He gives every believer a spiritual gift when they are saved.  As Christians, we seek to live under His control daily.

2 Corinthians 3:17; John 16 7-13, 14:16,17; Acts 1:8; 1 Corinthians 2:12, 3:16; Ephesians 1:13; Galatians 5:25, Ephesians 5:18

About The Bible.

The Bible is God’s Word to us.  It was written by Human authors, under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit.  It is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs and living.  Because it is inspired by God, it is the truth without any mixture of error.

2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20, 21; 2 Timothy 1:13; Psalm 119:105, 160, 12:6; Proverbs 30:5

About Human Beings.

People are made in the spiritual images of God, to be like Him in character.  People are the supreme object of God’s creation.  Although every person has tremendous potential for good, all of us are marred by an attitude of disobedience toward God called “sin”.  This attitude separates people from God and cause many problems in life.

Genesis 1:27; Psalm 8:3-6; Isaiah 53:6; Romans 3:23; Isaiah 59:1,2

About Salvation.
h5> Salvation is God’s free gift to us but we must accept it.  We can never make up for our sin by self-improvement our good works.  Only by trusting in Jesus Christ s God’s offer of forgiveness can anyone be saved from sin’s penalty.  When we turn our self-ruled life and turn to Jesus in faith we are saved. Eternal life begins the moment one receives Jesus Christ into his life by faith.

Romans 6:23; Ephesians 2:8,9; John 14:6, 1:12; Titus 3:5

About Eternal Security.
Because God gives us eternal life through Jesus Christ, the true believer is secure in the salvation for eternity.  If you have been genuinely saved, you cannot “lose” it, unless you decide to reject Jesus.  However, if you return to Him, He will return to you.  Salvation is maintained by the grace and power of God, not by the self- effort of the Christian.  It is the grace and keeping power of God that gives us this security.

John 10:29; 2 Timothy 1:12; Hebrews 7:25, 10:10, 14; 2 Chronicles 15:2; Malachi 3:7; 1 Peter 1:3-5
About Eternity.
People were created to exist forever.  We will either exist eternally separated from God by sin, or eternally with God through forgiveness and salvation.  To be eternally separated from God is Hell.  To be eternally in union with Him is eternal life.  Heaven and Hell are real places of eternal existence.

John 3:16; John 14:17; Romans 6:23; Roman 8:17-18; Revelation 20:15; 1 Corinthians 2:7-9
