WHY ARE SMALL GROUPS IMPORTANT?
One of the core values at the Harvest is "Christianity is not a solitary affair, its a community event". God created us with the desire and need for community and intends for us to love one another and for our lives to touch each other through relationships. O ur corporate services on Sunday are very important to our life as a church, but we believe that there is no better place to develop meaningful real relationships than in a small group. It is this environment of healthy and genuine relationships that encourage us in our understanding of God, our spiritual walk, and our growth as individuals.
There are a number of great benefits to joining a small group:
*You'll begin to feel like you're part of God's family (and not just a face in the crowd). *You will have a place to discover and use your spiritual gifts. *You'll begin to understand the Bible better in a Small Group (there's nothing like the chance to ask questions). *Prayer will become more meaningful to you (your friends will be praying for you and with you). *You will not have to go through struggles alone. *You will grow spiritually faster in a group than alone. *You will develop leadership skills you never knew you had.
